Guardians of the Galaxy
It isn’t often that you learn things while going to a movie
that seems as if it would only entertain you. However, I learned...
1.
Wear your seat belt. It’s a good idea.
2.
The ‘80’s had some rocking good music.
3.
This movie is a hoot!
The premise is that we follow a human named Quill through
his adventures. The first scene of this involves him seeking an orb. He doesn’t
know why, but it’s got a handsome bounty. Through this sequence, we learn
everything we need to know about Quill.
As it turns out, the orb is wanted by the worst criminals in the galaxy,
and Quill has to team up with several misfits like him to reclaim it.
Glenn Close, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper (voice), Vin Diesel
(voice), Lee Pace, Djimon Hounsou, and John C. Reilly are all cast members in
this movie based on a comic book. The story is well written and the characters
are very well drawn. Once you meet Rocket, for instance, you’ll never forget
him.
It’s a sci fi film
that doesn’t take itself too seriously. I laughed all the way through the
movie, and even cried a bit. And I would
love to see a sequel. Thumbs up.
